In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, butter, and salt. Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the ice water to the flour mixture, mixing until the dough comes together.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a pie dish.

Transfer the rolled-out dough to the pie dish and press it into the bottom and sides.
