Soak the navy beans overnight in water.

Drain and rinse the beans.

In a large pot, add the beans, onion, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, molasses, salt, and black pepper.

Add enough water to cover the beans.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish.

Top with bacon slices.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the beans are tender and the bacon is crispy.
