Candied nuts have been enjoyed as a snack since ancient times. They were often served at feasts and celebrations.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 30 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 6.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, combine sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy.

Add vanilla extract to the egg white and whisk again.

Add mixed nuts to the egg white mixture and toss to coat evenly.

Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the nuts and toss to coat.

Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
