Soak the kidney beans in water overnight. Drain and rinse.

In a large pot, add the kidney beans and water. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes or until the beans are tender.

While the beans are cooking, finely chop the onion, garlic, and cilantro.

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until golden brown.

Add the ground coriander, ground cumin, and salt to the skillet. Stir well.

Add the sautéed onion and garlic mixture to the pot with the cooked kidney beans.

In a food processor, grind the walnuts until finely chopped. Add the ground walnuts to the pot.

Stir well and let the mixture simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve hot with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro on top.
