Trim the asparagus and cut into small pieces.

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.

Add asparagus and cook for 5 minutes.

Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender to puree until smooth.

Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Stir well.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
