Salt Block Smashed Potatoes

Place the salt block in the oven and preheat to 400°F (200°C).

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Remove the potatoes from the pot and let them cool slightly. Place the potatoes on a cutting board and gently smash them with the bottom of a glass or a potato masher.

Drizzle olive oil over the salt block and place the smashed potatoes on top. Sprinkle with black pepper.

Carefully transfer the salt block with the potatoes to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.

Remove the salt block from the oven and let the potatoes rest for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the chopped fresh herbs over the potatoes before serving. Enjoy!
