Peel and slice the carrots.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the brown sugar, honey, salt, black pepper, and water to the saucepan. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the sliced carrots to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the carrots are tender.
