Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Peel and grate the carrot. Finely chop the red onion, garlic cloves, and fresh parsley.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, grated carrot, chopped red onion, garlic cloves, fresh parsley, lemon zest, canned tuna, oat flour, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

Toast the whole wheat burger buns.
