  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add broccoli florets and vegetable broth, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, or until broccoli is tender.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Using a blender, puree the soup until smooth.
  4. Return the soup to the pot, add coconut milk, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and heat over low heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with additional black pepper and a drizzle of olive oil, if desired.
