In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add salt and slowly whisk in the polenta. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the polenta thickens.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Form small patties with the polenta mixture and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the black beans for 2-3 minutes.

Mash the avocado with lime juice in a bowl.

Slice the tomato and red onion.

To assemble, place the polenta patties on a plate, top with mashed avocado, black beans, sliced tomato, red onion, cilantro, and hot sauce.
