  2. Rinse and sort the dried navy beans.
  3. In a large pot, cover the beans with water and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and let them soak for 1 hour. Drain.
  4. In a Dutch oven or oven-safe pot, combine the soaked beans, chopped onion, molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and water.
  5. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Cover the pot and bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.
  7. Remove the cover and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the beans are tender and the sauce has thickened.
  8. Let the baked beans rest for 10 minutes before serving.
