Ingredients
  • 2 cup White beans
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 clove Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh sage leaves
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
  1. Soak the white beans overnight in water.
  2. Drain the soaked beans and rinse them.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  4. Add chopped onion and minced garlic cloves to the pot and cook until translucent.
  5. Add fresh sage leaves and cook for another minute.
  6. Add the soaked and rinsed white beans to the pot.
  7. Pour in vegetable broth and season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 1 hour or until the beans are tender.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
