  2. Slice the tops off the tomatoes and hollow them out.
  3. In a bowl, combine the mozzarella, basil, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stuff the tomato shells with the mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed tomatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired, and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let the tomatoes rest for 5 minutes before serving.
