Ingredients
  • 2 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 stalk Lemongrass
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 piece Lime wedges
Instructions
  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped lemongrass.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan.
  4. Let the rice simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  5. Remove the lemongrass stalk and fluff the rice with a fork.
  6. In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  7. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir-fry for a few minutes, until it is well-coated in the oil and heated through.
  8. Season with salt and garnish with Thai basil leaves.
  9. Serve the Thai-Style Fragrant Rice with lime wedges on the side.
