Peel and chop the sweet potatoes, onion, garlic, carrots, and celery.

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

Add the sweet potatoes, carrots, and celery to the pot. Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
