Trim the woody ends of the asparagus spears.

Place the asparagus on a baking sheet.

Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and toss to coat.

Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and black pepper over the asparagus.

Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and slightly charred.
