Wash and cut the Chinese cabbage into bite-sized pieces.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the Chinese cabbage and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it starts to wilt.

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and sugar.

Pour the sauce over the cabbage and continue stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes until the cabbage is cooked but still crisp.
