Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add jalapeno pepper, cumin powder, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Drain and rinse the kidney beans, then add them to the pan. Stir to combine.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and stir in fresh cilantro and lime juice.
