Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent.

Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, sugar, and red pepper flakes.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles.
