Slow Cooker Chana Masala

Rinse and soak the chickpeas overnight.

Drain the soaked chickpeas and add them to the slow cooker.

Add chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, diced tomatoes, chopped green chilies, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, and water to the slow cooker.

Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours.

After 4 hours, remove the lid and stir the chana masala.

Cook for an additional 2 hours on low heat.

Once cooked, garnish with fresh cilantro and lemon juice.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
