  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the cumin and coriander and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the fava beans and rice to the pan and stir well.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff the pilaf with a fork and stir in lemon juice, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
