Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, water, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes.

Pour the sauce mixture over the green beans and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve hot as a side dish.
