Rice Krispies were accidentally invented in 1927 by a Kellogg’s employee who was trying to make a new breakfast cereal. The idea of using them to create a crispy treat came later.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 70 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 7.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.

Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.

Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and press it down firmly.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow it to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
