Nutella was created in the 1940s by an Italian pastry maker named Pietro Ferrero during World War II when cocoa was scarce and he needed a spreadable chocolate alternative.

This is vegan, gluten free, low carb and quick meals recipe. Dish can be prepared in 15 minutes. Even a beginner can handle preparing this dish. Number of ingredients: 6.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the hazelnuts from the oven and let them cool slightly. Rub the hazelnuts in a clean kitchen towel to remove the skins.
  3. In a blender or food processor, blend the hazelnuts until they become a smooth butter-like consistency.
  4. Add cocoa powder, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender. Blend until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
  5. Transfer the Paleo Nutella to a jar or airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
