Preheat the grill or toaster.

Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick slices.

Place the baguette slices on the grill or toaster and cook until golden brown.

In the meantime, dice the tomatoes and finely chop the olives.

In a bowl, mix the diced tomatoes, chopped olives, minced garlic, torn basil leaves, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the grill or toaster.
