Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.

Peel and slice the kiwi.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Add the mashed bananas, maple syrup, unsweetened applesauce, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well.

Gently fold in the sliced kiwi and chopped walnuts.

Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and smooth the top.
