Soak mung beans overnight and grind them into a coarse paste.

In a mixing bowl, combine mung bean paste, rice flour, gram flour, finely chopped green chilies, grated ginger, asafoetida, cumin seeds, salt, and water. Mix well to form a thick batter.

Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
