In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt.

Mix well until the ingredients are evenly combined.

Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Place the coconut balls in the refrigerator and let them chill for at least 1 hour.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together in short intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.

Dip each chilled coconut ball into the melted chocolate mixture, using a fork to fully coat it.

Return the coated coconut balls to the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator and let the chocolate coating set for about 30 minutes.
