  1. Rinse and drain the black beans. Cook the quinoa according to package instructions.
  2. In a food processor, combine the black beans, cooked quinoa, red bell pepper, red onion, garlic cloves, cilantro, lime juice, bread crumbs, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pulse until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and place on a baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned and heated through.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the whole wheat burger buns. Top with sliced avocado, tomato, and lettuce.
