Cut the tofu into small cubes and set aside.

Rinse the Chinese black beans and soak them in water for 5 minutes.

Crush the Sichuan peppercorns.

Heat the cooking oil in a wok or pan over medium heat.

Add the ground pork and cook until browned.

Add the garlic, ginger, and crushed Sichuan peppercorns. Stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add the Chinese black beans and stir-fry for another minute.

Stir in the Doubanjiang (Chili Bean Paste) and soy sauce.

Add the tofu cubes and gently mix everything together.

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to make a slurry.

Pour the slurry into the wok and stir gently until the sauce thickens.
