In a saucepan, heat the soy milk over medium heat.

Dissolve agar agar in 1/4 cup of cold water.

Add the dissolved agar agar to the soy milk and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
