Rinse the lentils under cold water.

In a large pot, heat some oil and sauté the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery for about 5 minutes.

Add the lentils, vegetable broth, tomato paste, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir well.

Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the lentils are tender.

Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice.
