  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add the honey, applesauce, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
