Cook the black beans until tender. Drain and set aside.

Cook the rice according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the onion, red bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until softened.

Add the cooked black beans to the skillet and mix well.

Stir in the cooked rice and cilantro. Season with salt, black pepper, and salsa Lizano (optional).

Cook for a few more minutes until heated through.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
