Ingredients
  • 4 tomato Green tomatoes
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Slice the green tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dip each tomato slice into the flour mixture, coating both sides.
  5. Place the coated tomato slices in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the fried tomatoes from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
