Falafel Burger

Falafel is a popular Middle Eastern dish made from ground chickpeas or fava beans, herbs, and spices. It is often served in a pita bread or as a burger.

Drain and rinse the chickpeas. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic cloves, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, baking powder, and salt. Pulse until well combined but still slightly chunky.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the all-purpose flour. Shape the mixture into patties.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Toast the burger buns and assemble the falafel burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, and tahini sauce.
