Wash and chop the collard greens.

Dice the onion and mince the garlic.

In a slow cooker, combine the collard greens, onion, garlic, vegetable broth, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and liquid smoke.

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

After 4 hours, stir the greens and continue cooking for an additional 2 hours.
