Ingredients
  • 1 head Cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Tea (black or green)
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, tea, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the umami sauce.
  4. Place the cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet and brush both sides with the umami sauce.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and golden brown.
  7. Let the cauliflower steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the cauliflower steaks with the remaining umami sauce on the side.
