Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic cloves. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add kidney beans, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, liquid smoke, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce to the pot. Stir well to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
