Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the fava beans for 2 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Remove the tough outer skins.

In a bowl, combine the fava beans, blood oranges, mixed greens, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to combine.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the baguette slices with olive oil and grill until toasted, about 2 minutes per side.
