Ingredients
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them.
  2. In a separate pan, sauté the onion and garlic until golden brown.
  3. Add the sautéed onion and garlic, along with the cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper, to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  4. In a bowl, combine the flour and water to make a smooth batter.
  5. Take a portion of the potato mixture and place it on a flattened piece of dough. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and fry the turnovers until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt dip.
