Ingredients
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 60 ml Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • for garnish chopped Fresh coriander leaves
Instructions
  1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic and ginger, and cook for a minute.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add diced potatoes and coat them with the spice mixture.
  7. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with roti or rice.
