  1. Rinse the black beans under cold water and soak them overnight.
  2. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
  4. Drain the soaked black beans and add them to the pot.
  5. Pour in vegetable broth and add cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the beans are tender.
  7. Use an immersion blender to partially blend the soup, leaving some beans whole for texture.
  8. Stir in lime juice and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  9. Let the soup rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
