Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onion is translucent.

Stir in berbere spice blend and tomato paste. Cook for 2 minutes.

Add vegetable broth, potatoes, carrots, and green beans. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add cabbage, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
