  1. Boil, peel, and mash the potatoes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, gram flour, rice flour, finely chopped green chilies, grated ginger, minced garlic, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves, asafoetida, and salt.
  3. Mix well to form a thick batter.
  4. Shape the mixture into small balls.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  6. Fry the potato balls in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
