Peel and cut the potatoes into thin, even strips.

Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175°C (350°F).

In batches, carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate.
