In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and water.

If the hummus is too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.

Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
