Peel and slice the carrots into thin rounds.

In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the carrots. Cook for 5 minutes or until tender.

Drain the carrots and set aside.

In the same saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the drained carrots and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add orange juice, honey, basil leaves, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.

Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are glazed and tender.

Remove from heat and let the carrots rest for 5 minutes.
