Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Fold in the chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chips.

Spoon the batter into a greased mini-muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
