Ingredients
  • 2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 3 piece Whole Spices (Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom)
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 piece Green Chili
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (Carrots, Peas)
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • 4 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pan, heat ghee and add the whole spices. Fry for a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped onion, ginger, garlic, and green chili. Saute until the onion turns translucent.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the rinsed rice and stir well to coat the grains with ghee.
  6. Pour in water and add salt. Bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Turn off the heat and let the pilaf rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
